Julian Ernest, residing in Toronto, Ontario passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the age of 65, despite perfect health, and a healthy and active lifestyle. He was the beloved husband of Corinne Engel. Loving father and father-in-law of Cary and Debbie, Darren and Christine. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Leonie and Lorne Richler of Montreal, Jeffrey and Lynda Engel, and Merrick Engel. Devoted grandfather of Jonah and Zoe. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, Amira and Peter, David and Geneviève, Amoryn and Kevin, Charis and Chris, Alysa and Mitch, and Josh and Dori.
Some of the inspirational notes he recorded for himself as daily reminders are:
"All discomfort is created by resistance to change" and "View things as they are, not the way you want them to be."
He always had a smile on his face, and his generosity of spirit was felt strongly by everyone that knew him, both in his personal life and in his business life.
We will miss him dearly.
